Our mission

Volve Vision exists to make the world's live cameras discoverable and to cover the people, technology and policy shaping live-streaming media. Our news section publishes daily articles on camera releases, streaming trends, regulation and the broader live-media ecosystem.

Editorial independence

The newsroom operates independently from advertising, partnership and commercial teams. Camera operators or vendors who pay for placement, premium listings or advertising do not receive favourable editorial coverage, and we never sell coverage.

When an article references a product, partner or service connected to Volve Vision, we disclose the relationship at the top of the piece.

How our content is produced

Articles in the Volve Vision news section are created with the help of large language models (AI assistance) and are reviewed by named human editors before publication. Every published article carries a byline of the editor responsible for it.

We use AI for first-draft writing, translation between English / Russian / Spanish, and metadata generation. Editors are responsible for fact-checking, headline accuracy, source verification and the final published version. Articles are not published unattended.

We do not republish AI output verbatim when factual claims are involved. Sources are checked against original announcements, manufacturer press releases, government records and other primary materials.

Sourcing and verification

We attribute facts to their original source whenever possible — official company announcements, regulatory filings, peer-reviewed studies, named experts, or first-hand reporting. We link directly to the source where it is publicly available.

Anonymous sources are used only when there is no other way to surface information that is in the public interest, and only after verification by at least one editor.

User-submitted cameras are reviewed before they appear on the public catalogue. We remove streams that violate the privacy of identifiable people, that show private property without consent, or that we cannot verify the source of.

Corrections and updates

If a published article contains a factual error, we correct it as soon as we are aware and add a dated correction note at the bottom of the article. Material corrections are also reflected in the article's dateModified structured-data field so search engines and aggregators see the change.

If a story changes substantially after publication (new development, new statement, retraction), we add a clearly labelled update.

Personally identifiable information and privacy

We aim to minimise the appearance of identifiable individuals in any public stream we list. Cameras pointed at private dwellings, unblurred faces in non-public contexts, or footage that breaches local privacy law are removed on review.

We do not publish the home address, personal phone number or other private contact details of newsmakers without their consent.

Advertising, sponsorship and affiliate links

Advertising on Volve Vision is sold separately from editorial coverage. Paid placements are labelled as ads or sponsored content. We do not currently run affiliate links inside editorial articles; if that changes, the relationship will be disclosed explicitly in the article.
